About this site

Built by a sole operator to make the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 easier for homeowners in England and Wales.

This page is being built. Back to the checker.

This is information, not legal advice. We explain the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 in plain English and help you prepare your own notices. We are not solicitors or surveyors, and this is not a government service. Check anything you are unsure about with a qualified party wall surveyor or solicitor.

We're paid by surveyors when you request quotes through this site. That never changes what the checker tells you.

England and Wales only. Rules verified against the Act and the GOV.UK explanatory booklet; last checked 8 November 2026.
